My very first custom art order back in 2009 was not only going to an international destination in Melbourne, Australia, it was also to be turned into a tattoo. I was ecstatic to know that somebody outside the United States not only wanted a piece of original art to frame and hang, but to make permanent on themselves. To this day, I still revisit the the finished outcomes that are proudly shared by my customers.
The hardships of drawing with a pen and ink medium on paper varies depending on the subject matter, that I can only imagine what it's like getting a tattoo done since I do not have one. When a customer shares a tattoo that was done, I'm impressed by the image of choice and wonder if that person plays that position in lacrosse, or is just a fan of the subject matter. Then I'm also impressed by the tattoo artist who replicated it from paper to skin.
As an artist, I get used to seeing the lacrosse art on a wall. But seeing it as a tattoo will always remain top on the list. Very thankful for these 'owners' who have validated The Art of Lax™.
